Assessing forestry project impacts: issues and strategies

This publication is a concise reference presenting the most recent thinking on issues and strategies of assessing forestry project impacts with consideration for sustainability, rural poverty alleviation and environmental stability. It presents policy-makers and project staff with a framework within which socio-economic, institutional and environmental impacts can be assessed along the project life. It is meant to enhance capacities for efficient and sustainable forestry activities as called for the Agenda 21 of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development.
