Using the Global Environment Outlook (GEO) methodology, this unique report provides a complete and integrated assessment of the globally significant ecosystem of the Amazon Basin, shared by Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela.The GEO Amazonia aims to provide a sound basis for policy makers at the national, subnational and local levels of the Amazonian countries in their efforts to ensure the longterm sustainability of development initiatives.
