Agricultural research at the crossroads

The book describes and analyses agricultural technical changes over more than three decades for a group of resource-poor farmers in Ethiopia, Sweden and Trinidad and Tobago. Initially contacted in the mid-1960s, the majority of the farmers were revisited by the author in 1980 and in the early 2000s. These unique empirical data form a platform for policy analysis of agricultural research and development in the context of current globalization forces and the discussions on the Millennium Development Goals.
