Sprayer for small areas and experimental plots

This paper refers to the development of a prototype sprayer built at the Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Hortaliças (CNPH/EMBRAPA), in Brasília, DF, Brazil. Its principal characteristic is its pressure source utilizing a cylindric container with CO2, which may be replaced by a compressed air cylinder connected to the solution tank. The equipment is specially suitable for pesticides and foliar nutrient application in small areas, and can be used independently from the soil relief. The equipment presents high versatility for small-plot work.
