Morphology and Antomy of Vegetative Organs of Tropaeolum incisum (Tropaeolaceae)

The anatomy of the vegetative organs of T. incisum was studied. This species grows in the Center-west of Argentina and Patagonian east. The collected material was fixed, cleared, cut with a Minot rotary microtome. Anatomic features of adaptive value, presence of unicellular secretory trichomes and papillae in the epidermis of aerial rhizomes, crystals in mesophyll cells and papillae at leaf margins, were observed.
