Methane mitigation through feeding strategies in small-scale milk production systems in the Valles Altos of central Mexico

Small-scale dairy systems (SSDS) are an important source of income and self-employment. The production of the SSDS is limited mainly by the low quality of the feed. The effect of diet on methane emissions in dairy cows has been extensively studied. The objective was to compare the effect of different feeding strategies on methane emissions in SSDS.
