Agricultural Engineer from the National University of Colombia and Magister Scientiae in Plant Physiology from the Federal University of Viçosa in Brazil. Master Researcher at the Tibaitatá Research Center, Cimpa headquarters. With experience in tropical fruit trees, in vitro propagation and identification of genes involved in the somatic embryogenesis of Passifloras. Since joining AGROSAVIA, he has been carrying out research and technology transfer projects on the zoning of agroclimatic risks of agricultural systems in Colombia; in the sugarcane production system for the production of panela (Saccharum officinarum L.) in the areas of plant propagation oriented to the production of selected seed and epidemiological study of diseases. He also investigates the behavior of the regional red and white guava (Psidium guajava L.) and its interaction with pests and diseases, as well as the physiological response and production of secondary metabolites in the producing region of southern Santander - Colombia.
