Notas para la revisión del género Lonchorhina (Chiroptera, Phyllostomidae)
The genus Lonchorhina is redefined to include three species:L. aurita Tomes, L. orinocensis Linares & Ojasti, and L. marinkelleinew species (type locality: Durania, Vaupés, Colombia). L. occidentalis Anthony is provisionally regarded as a subspecies ofL. aurita. L. orinocensis is recorded for the first time from Colombia. L. marinkellei, the giant for the genus, is known only from the holotype. All the available information for the genus is reviewed.
