Terminal evaluation of the UNEP GEF project: Development of national implementation plans for the management of persistent organic pollutants

This is a terminal evaluation of a UNEP GEF project implemented between 2002 and 2006. The objective of the project was to strengthen national capacity to manage persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and to assist countries in meeting their obligations under the Stockholm Convention. The main objective of the evaluation was to assess project performance (e.g. the quality of the overall project management, application and effectiveness of project monitoring and evaluation plans and tools, of financial planning, etc.) and of planned project activities and planned outputs against actual results.
