Excavations at Rio Bec Group B, Structure 6N-1, Campeche, Mexico
The 1976 investigations produced three major findings. One, Structure 6N-1 was originally constructed and occupied by Late Classic people, probably as an elite residence that likely served public functions as well. Two, the Late Classic people made structural modifications to accommodate the addition of the twin towers. Three, the final activity at 6N-1 occurred during the Terminal Classic period.
