Lectura latinoamericana de las relaciones económicas con China : cambios y perspectivas
The relationship between Asia and Latin America reflects the changes in the structure of industrial production on a world scale after the emergence of the Asian model of development. From the perspective of economic relations, trans-Pacific ties during the 1990s reveal large "empty spaces." In general terms, the profile of the relationship with East Asia is characterized by the trade of raw materials in exchange for manufacturing, technology and services. In the case of relations between China and Latin America, the economy level has dominated the agenda, especially in new issues. However, this has been shaped from the mix that results from the generic features of trans-Pacific relations and the late quality of China as a giant in international trade in goods and a center of attraction for capital and technology.
