Streptococcus suis transcriptome strain comparison

Streptococcus suis is a diverse species with high strain diversity, and can be grouped into multiple clades with commensal and pathogenic niches. In this study we investigate the species-wide S. suis transcriptome by sequencing a diverse set of strains grown to the mid exponential phase in active porcine serum (APS) and Todd-Hewitt Broth with yeast extract (THY). All samples were processed and sequenced together.
