D3.1 Design and Solution Development report

The key objective of the overall project ‘Quality Controlled Logistics in IoT-enabled Perishable Supply Chains’ is to integrate IoT into logistics decision making leading to the research objective ‘to explore the potentials and applicability of IoT technologies in enabling dynamic and integrated quality-controlled logistics in the postharvest perishable produce chain’. This report reflects the results of Work Package 3 of the project in which the ‘design and development’ of the concept of Quality Controlled Logistics in IoT-enabled Perishable Supply Chains is described on two levels. The first, or higher, level focusses on the describing the design and solution of ‘what should be in place / is needed to make the concept of Quality Controlled Logistics in IoT-enabled Perishable Supply Chains work in the longer term’.
