Review of world literature on conservation education intended for educational establishments
Speech briefly tracing co-operation since 1948 with the International Union for the Protection of Nature and Natural Resources, leading to preoccupations concerning the environment and development, and the launching by IUCN in 1980 of the World Conservation Strategy and sustainable development, a key objective for UNESCO in the years ahead, in particular, during its Medium-term Plan for 1990-1995, in response to many requirements relating to education as much as to science, culture or communication, looks forward to continued co-operation with the newly-named World Conservation Union
