Cybernetic principles of learning and educational design

Presents cybernetics, one of the behaviour theories which views the individual as a feedback system which generates its own activities in order to detect and control specific stimuli of the environment - Applies cybernetics theory to education, evaluating audiovisual instruction, programmed instruction and group instruction as systems which rely heavily on feedback. Cybernetics can also be applied to textbook evaluation. Where learning theories are concerned, cybernetics is useful in the understanding of the transfer of training. The study of cybernetics can be aided by the use of computers.
