Business as usual will not transform southern Africa

The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) appealed to participants of a training in results based management to apply the acquired knowledge to transform their institution and the sub-region. Speaking at the closing of a three day results-based management training for COMESA in Chisamba, Zambia, ECA-SA Officer in-charge Mr. Johnson Oguntola said that the training was not an end in itself but a means towards transforming the socioeconomic conditions of southern Africa. "I strongly appeal to you not to take the outcomes of this training as business as usual, but use it to deliver results and address the deficiency of many programmes in the sub-region."
