Groundnut price stabilization measures in Senegal : Paper submitted by the Government of Senegal

The export of shelled Senegalese groundnuts is governed by a bilateral agreement on prices and quantities with the French government. Depending upon the size of the crop, Senegal may be obliged to export outside the franc area, particularly if local marketable stocks exceed the Quota granted by Franco. The purpose of this to ensure guaranteed domestic prices to producers by supporting the price generally lower than the price guaranteed y France of shelled groundnuts exported outside the franc area.
