Report of the sixth United Nations Conference on the Standardization of geographical names
The report of the Eastern Mediterranean Division pointed out that the official romanization system for Hebrew was used by all government agencies in Israel, but that some agencies within the private sector still employed different conversion methods. The widespread occurrence and treatment of exonyms derived from the Bible was also, addressed, as well as cooperation with other linguistic/geographical divisions.
