The paper deals with the field of hydrograph has a long history, beginning with a Conference held in Washington in 1899 and another in Saint Peters burg in 1912.In 1919 twenty-four nations met in London for a Hydro graphic Conference during which it was decided that a permanent body should be created and thus the International Hydro graphic Bureau was born. It began its activity in 1921 with nineteen Member States and headquarters in the Principality of Monaco.
