Composition of the essential oil of Teucrium heterophyllum L’Hér. grown in the Canary Islands
A steam distilled oil obtained from the aerial parts of Teucrium heterophyllum L’Hér.;grown in la Palma, Canary Islands, was analyzed by capillary GC and GC/MS. Fifty nine components were characterized representing 94% of the oil. The oil contained α-pinene (8.5%), β-caryophyllene (15.1%) and (E)-α-bisabolene (20.8%) as major constituents. © 1999, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
