The Embrapa Agricultural Instrumentation Center, one of the thematic centers of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, is an institution of science and technology in instrumentation. Its purpose is to promote Brazilian agribusiness through the generation, adaptation, and transference of knowledge and technologies in instrumentation. Since its establishment in November 1 984 in São Carlos, SP, the Embrapa Agricultural Instrumentation Center has relied on an interdisciplinary approach in vanguard research in such areas as soil science, the environment, biotechnology, the post-harvest process, new materiais, precision agriculture, small-farm agriculture, automation processes, and quality of products and commodities.
