Saint Kitts and Nevis. Significant achievements 2018

The main activities carried out by the Institute in Saint Kitts and Nevis during 2018 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as marketing, aquaculture, aquaponics, governance, beekeeping, costs, use of greenhouses, hydroponics, food security and safety, imports and resilience against climate change. Likewise, work was done on fertilization, pest control, such as the management of the West Indian fruit fly and the management of non-communicable diseases. Finally, it supported the rehabilitation after the hurricanes, the use of mechanical technology for the extraction of mango pulp and the extraction of essential oils and hydrosols.
