Report of the Meeting of Ministers of Agriculture of the Americas 2013 and of the Seventeenth Regular Meeting of the Inter-American Board of Agriculture

The meeting presents the different positions and observations of agreements on water; the resource is conceived as “food for the earth”; tries to raise awareness about population growth, the increased demand for water for agricultural and non-agricultural activities, and the effects of climate change and variability that have altered the availability of this resource. Likewise, the holding of the meeting makes it possible to present IICA's actions with its strategic alliances; budget and finance matters; rules, procedures and other administrative matters; and finally matters of IICA's governing bodies.
