Home for Students and Refugees: TREEHOUSING International Wood Design Competition poster

Both students and refugees need affordable housing for a limited period of time. By creating a shared space for both groups, refugees can be more easily integrated into society, while students can learn from other cultures and perspectives.</p> This poster is one of a selection of entries from the TREEHOUSING International Wood Design Competition that was run by FAO and DBR | Design Build Research School on the occasion of the XIV World Forestry Congress in Durban, South Africa, in September 201 5.The competition challenged architecture students, professional architects and designers to develop innovative and sustainable wood housing and urban building solutions.
