Multifuncionalidade dos espaços rurais e manejo dos recursos naturais: comparação entre Brasil e França

This article examines the renewal of public policies and their impact on natural resource management in two contrasting situations: the Northeast of Brazil and western France. It demonstrates how natural resource degradation associated with the crisis of industrial agriculture has led the countries of Europe and Latin America to seek alternative strategies for rural development. It proposes thoughtful consideration and alternative paths for instruments of public policy for situations in both France and Brazil.
