A note on the effect of Calotropis procerea on ewe gestation

Sixteen ewes in their 13th week of pregnancy were used to investigate the effect of feeding #Calotropis procera# on the development of pregnancy, They were divided into two equal groups, a control and a treated. One abortion occured in the control group and none in the treated. The two groups did not differ in gestation length or birth weight. However, the variability in gestation length was significantly lower (p.05) in the group feeding on #Calotropis procera# than the control one.
