Fenologia de Melia azedarach L. no sul do Brasil

This paper reports 12 months of phenoloagical observations of Melia azedarach growing an the Horto Fiorestal “Navarro de Andrade", Rio Claro, Sao Paulo, Brasil. This place is located in an area with a mean annual rainfali of 1240 mm and a temperature of 20%C. The four phenological characteristics studied [ffowering,fruiting, leaf flushing and leaf fall) show a marked periodicity during the year. Leof falf exhibits a high peak in the dry and cold season [July-August) and another smail peak in the wet season (January-February) Leaf flushing shows its most active period during the wet season ¡September-Decembes) Flowering shows a high peak in September an October, beginning of the wet season. Fruiting takes place during the wet season until dry season (October-May).
