Динамика сезонного и межгодового распределения шпрота в восточной части Балтийского моря в зависимости от океанологических факторов

Using the data for the years 1977-1986, the dynamics of sprat seasonal and inter-annual distribution has been analyzed in relation to oceanological factors. The sprat distribution in the winter-spring period has been shown in relation to the thickness of the deep-water layer limited by the isotherm of 4 °C from above and by the isooxygen of 1 ml/1 02 from below. In the summer-autumn period, the eastern Baltic sprat forms five relatively isolated spawning shoals with densities and fish biomasses defined by the state of the upper water layer in July-August when the spawning shoals are being formed. It has been shown that during the spawning period, the sprat is used to distribute in clusters, and the degree of the fish aggregation in the shoals is governed by the hydrological conditions in the places the fish inhabit.
