On the trophical stricture of the Baltic Sea zooplankton
The texture of the mouth extremities in the Baltic Sea copepod (Pseudocalanus elongates, Temora longicornis, Eurytemora hirundoides, Limnocalanus hamatus, Acartia longiremis, Acartia bifilosa, Oithona similis) is described. On the basis of personal and literature data trophical structure of zooplankton is determined. It is shown that in different seasons phytophagous make up 68-90 %, euryphages – 9-30 % and predators – less than 2.5% of the total biomass in 0-100 m layer. Vertical trophical zonality changes by seasons; in winter, summer and autumn phytophagous dominate in all water layers; in spring euryphages prevail in the upper (0-25 m) layer, deeper – phytophagous. Daily vertical migrations are characteristic of phytophages locating lower than the layer of photosynthesis.
