Distribución del ictioplancton y zooplancton en el Golfo de Guayaquil y costa central de Manabí durante noviembre de 1995

Are presented the distribution of ichthyoplankton and zooplankton between the 2th and 6th of november 1995 were observed from the central coast of Manabí province and the Gulf of Guayaquil waters, 27 stations were surveyed being carried out oblique haulages with nets type bongo of 500~km, 300~km y 150~km, hasta una profundidad de 200 m; superficial haulage were carried out by using a net of 200~km as well twenty families and eleven gennus of ichthyoplankton were identified. The Engraulidae family was the most representative with 3671 larvas (10 m2)-1 while the Scombridae and Clupeidae families registered 46 and 121 larvas (10 m2)-1 respectively. There were identified larvas of demersal fish with: Sciaenidae, Carangidae, Serranidae and Gerridae. In the zooplankton were registered 29 groups between the most abundants was: Copepods, Chaetognats, Daphinds and Euphausids. The major concentrations of zooplanktonic biomass was registered at the south-east (open ocean) of the Guayaquil Gulf with 7 g (10 m3)-1; and the minor quantity toward the north-west of the Santa Elena Punta and North of Manabí coast. A distribution homogenean relation between the abundance of ichthyoplankton and zooplankton with the phytoplankton concentration and the temperature values were between 22~'C and 25~'C.
