The features of formation of the total number and biomass of the permanent and temporary components of meiobenthos in the periphyton of the lithocontour of natural and artificial substrates for the shelf of the Northwestern part in the Black Sea first time done. The species composition of the main groups of meiobenthos (Nematoda, Harpacticoida, Polychaeta) and their numbers are given. The features of the qualitative composition and quantitative indicators of meiobenthos, depending on the type of algal substrate presented in the monograph. The book will be useful to hydrobiologists, ecologists, teachers and students of biological faculties of Universities.
