Mitochondrial DNA population structure in white mouth croaker (Micropogonias furnieri) along the atlantic coast of Brazil.

Variation in mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) was examined among 149 white mouth croakers (Micropogonias furnieri) from six geographic locations in the Atlantic coast of Brazil (1° S - 340 S). Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis of D-loop region detected a total of tive composite haplotypes.
