Wildland Urban Interface Project Maps
<p>For each map listed, we provided an Adobe Acrobat file (PDF), a compressed Postscript file (ZIP) for plotter output, and metadata files in both HTML and text formats. Short descriptions of each map are available in the abstract portion of the metadata files.</p> <p><strong>Forest Vegetative Community</strong>. The data for the following Forest Vegetative Community maps was taken from Terrestrial Ecosystem Survey (TES), timber stand data, and when necessary, GES. To obtain details on the specific data used to map vegetation communities for a particular forest refer to the metadata (html and text files).</p> <p><strong>GIS Vegetation Data</strong>. The following files contain the Geographic Information System (GIS) vegetation data used to produce the Forest Vegetation Community maps. The data are provided in Arc/Info interchange formatted files which have been compressed (ZIP). These files require the use of GIS specific software. Descriptive metadata for the GIS data is provided in HTML and text formats.</p> <p><strong>GIS Fire Regime and Conditions Class Data</strong>. The following files contain the Geographic Information System (GIS) data used in the Fire Regime and Condition Class maps. The data are provided in Arc/Info interchange formatted files which have been compressed (ZIP). These files require the use of GIS specific software.
