Hexaconazole (Anvil 5SC R) : A broad spectrum systemic fungicide for disease control in some plantation crops.

Rice sheath blight and banana yellow sigatoka caused by Rhizoctonia solani and Mycosphaerella musicola, respectively, are important diseases. Studies showed that 2 sprays of hexaconazole at 28.8 to 57.6 g a.i./ha at 55 and 70 days after sowing gave effective control of rice sheath blight. Foliar sprays of hexaconazole at 100 g a.i./ha were effective for the control of banana yellow sigatoka. These results demonstrate the broad spectrum systemic activity of hexaconazole.
