Enhancing value of agriculture biotechnological advances through commercialization.

In 2005, the world celebrated the 10th anniversary of the commercialization of genetically modified (GM) or biotech crops. The total acreage of these crops being planted in that same year reached 1 billion acres involving the participation of 8.5 million farmers in 21 different countries worldwide.
