Acaulospora excavata (Glomeromycota) in agricultural soils of Chiapas, México

In the State of Chiapas, Mexico, one of the most biodiverse country, there have been few studies to determine the richness of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and to date there have been only 24 species. The aim of this study wa s to record the presence of Acaulospora excavate ( a species recorded for few locations in Mexico ) in agricultural plots of corn, adjacent to Mopri Forest Reserve in Ivory Coast. This finding was the result of a study conducted in diverse fields of Ejido La Bella Illusion, where more than 22 species of Glomeromycota, belonging to the genera Acaulospora, Entrophospora, Gigaspora, Glomus and Archa eospora were identified
