Occurrence of Beauveria bassiana in coffee berry borer (Hypothenemus hampei) in the state of Rondonia, Brazil

A study was conducted to determine the natural enemies of H. hampei in Rondonia, Brazil. B. bassiana was identified in H. hampei-infested coffee (Coffea canephora) fruits collected from Rolin de Moura, Ouro do Oeste, and Machadinho do Oeste from February to March 2000. The infection rate in infested fruits was 0.23-0.47 percent lower than that reported from other regions in Brazil.
