Laboratory studies of the life history of antestia bug (Antestiopsis facetoides Greathead) (Hemiptera: Pestatomidae)
The antestia bugs (Antestiopsis facetoides) were reared in the laboratory under temperatures of 27¦2{eth} C and relative humidity of 75 percent. They were five (5) nymphal developmental stages, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th which occupied a mean of 6.8¦0.4, 7.9¦0.8, 7.0¦0.5, and 11.3¦0.6 days respectively. The pre-oviposition period was 13.2¦1.6 days. The total developmental time from egg incubation to pre-oviposition was 60.4¦2.4 days.
