Some biological aspects and behavior of Cephalonomia stephanoderis Betr. (Hymenoptera: Bethylidae) as parasitoid of Hypothenemus hampei (Ferr.) (Coleoptera: Scolytidae)

The aspects of biological and behavior of Cephalonomia stephanoderis Betr. as a parasitoid of Hypothenemus hampei (Ferr.) had been studied in the Laboratory of Entomology of Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Institute, Jember (East Java). It was observed that the life cycle of the parasitoid as egg was 2.25 days, larvae 7.0 days, pupae 7.89 days, whereas the male one was 12.90 days. The growth and development of parasitoid as well as its spreading in the field were determined by the population of Hypothenemus hampei.
