Rearing of white stem-borer, Xylotrechus quadripes Chev. (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) on freshly cut stems of Coffea arabica L.

Attempts were made to rear the white stem-borer, Xylotrechus quadripes Chev. on freslhy cut stems of Coffea arabica L. The grubs, to the extent of 44.71 per cent, successfully completed development and emerged as adults, when they were allowed to bore into stems through artificially made grooves.
