Manifestacao tardia da broca do café, Hypothenemus hampei (Ferrari, 1867), (Coleoptera: Scolytidae)
Late occurrence of coffee borer, Hypothenemus hampei (Ferrari, 1867), (Coleoptera: Scolytidae). In order to evident and to evaluate the manifestation of coffee borer, not in its regular time occurrence, it was accomplished in Sao José do Rio Pardo, State of Sao Paulo, a study during the period from November, 1988 to March 1989. Samples of coffee fruits were collected at random and analysed to check the presence or not of coffee borer's penetration hole. The fruits attacked were opened and the adults and immature shapes of insect registered. The results showed the late occurrence of pest with high level of infestation in March (17.40 percent)
