Comparative study of the natural and induced purpurascens mutants in Coffea arabica L
A comparative study was made between the natural and induced purpurascens mutants for the expression of mutant characters. The expression of colour in young and matured leaves was found to be uniform in case of induced mutants compared to natural ones and the light intensity had no notable impact on the expression of leaf colour. The spectrum of genetic change in both the mutants and the similarities in general between the spontaneous and induced mutants are discussed
