Evaluation of gallant, basta and different glyphosate formulations on weed management in coffee
Several herbicides and herbicide formulations were evaluated in Kenyan coffee between 1987-1989. They included Glufosinate Ammonium (Basta 20EC), Haloxyfop ethoxyethyl (Gallant 125E), glyphosate, 90 g/l (Kamata), glyphosate, 180 g/l (Sting), glyphosate, 100 g/l plus simazine, 280 g/l (Ricochet). Gallant performed well as a grass killer at 3 - 4 l/ha while basta, kamata, sting and ricochet as broad spectrum herbicides at 2 - 3 l/ha, 3 - 6 l/ha, 1.5 - 3 l/ha and 5 - 7 l/ha respectively
