Resistencia de Coffea liberica e Coffea dewevrei a Meloidogyne exigua
Resistance of Coffea liberica and C. dewevrei to Meloidogyne exigua. A search for resistance to Meloidogyne exigua was undertaken within the coffee species Coffea liberica and C. dewevrei, using C. arabica as a susceptible check. Seedlings were planted in highly infested soil. The level of resistance was evaluated 10 months after infestation by means of a 5 point scale. Using this method, C. arabica plants became highly infested. However the root system of C. liberica and C. dewevrei plants did not show any gall formation, indicating these species as sources of resistance to M. exigua
