Observations on the post-treatment behaviour of Eupterote canaraica to synthetic pyrethroid insectides
Studies were carried out to determine the post-treatment behaviour of the coffee hairy caterpillar, Eupterote canaraica Moore (Lepidoptera, Eupterotidae), to a few synthetic pyrethroid insecticides and one organophosphatic insecticide. "Knock down" was noticed after 25 minutes with all the synthetic pyrothroid insecticides and after 80 minutes in the case of the organophosphatic insecticide. In all treatments total death occurred between the 20th and 24th hour
