Escape mechanisms which could lead to field resistance to coffee berry disease, 1: Differences in the microclimate of the plant canopies of different coffee types
There were some differences in the microclimate within the canopy of two coffee types viz. Rume Sudan and SL 28. This was apparent when hours of wetness and temperatures were taken into consideration. Rume Sudan showed a tendency of having less hours of wetness and more hours of low temperature (<15ðC). It appears therefore that microclimatic conditions in the canopy of Rume Sudan are less favourable to CBD infection
