Field observations on the efficacy of foliar sprays of zinc salts for correcting zing deficiency in Arabica coffee

Spray trials with Zinc Salts were conducted, in three localities to study their comparative efficacy in controlling zinc deficiency on arabica coffee. Field observations indicated that foliar sprays of Nu-Z (a proprietary product containing Zinc Oxy-sulphate with 55 metallic zinc) at 2 lb. in 100 gallons of water gave maximum response followed by Zinc Sulphate at 2.5 lb. in 100 gallons of water. However, at the same level of metallic zinc Nu-Z was not superior to Zinc Sulphate. Zinc Chloride and Zinc Nitrate were not as effective as Nu-Z and Zinc Sulphate
