Ensaio com inseticidas para o controle da Eacles imperialis magnifica Walker, 1856 (Lepidoptera-Adelocephalidae), uma praga dos cafezais
This work aimed to test some insecticides against Eacles imperialis magnifica Walker, 1856 (Lepidoptera: Adelocephalidade), once they are know as good ones againt the coffee borer, Hypothenemus hampei (Ferrari, 1867) or the coffee leaf miner, Perileucoptera coffeella (Guérin-Meneville, 1842) for the simultaneous control of more than one pest. The products tested were: lindane 0.02 per cent (Perfektan 20) 1.0 ml/1.; lorsban 0.15 per cent (Lorsban 4E) 3.75 ml/1.; endrin 0.06 per cent (Endrex 20) 3.0 ml/1.; 2960 hoe 0.14 per cent (Hoe 40) 3.5 ml/1. and endossulfan + dimetoato 0.235 per cent (Thiodan S) 6.0 ml/1. None of the insecticides showed 100 per cent of mortality, however endrin and lorsban showed a percentage of mortality around 91.7 per cent and 87.5 per cent, respectively. The use of endrin against this pest shows a great advantage because it also controls the coffee leaf miner, Perileucoptera coffeella
