El intercultivo de aráceas (Xanthosoma spp. y Colocasia esculenta) y ñames (Dioscorea spp.) con cacao (Theobroma cacao)

The reduction of cacao prices are demanding the design of new agroecosystems in Costa Rica. The intercrop of aroids and yams with cacao shine to respond to this need. This paper discuss the ecological, fenological and agronomic basis and consequences of such intercrop.
