Controle químico de Stenoma decora Zeller, 1854 (Lepidoptera: Stenomidae) em cacaueiros (Theobroma cacao L.)
The larvae of Stenoma decora is an important pest of the cacao tree in Bahia. This study reports the results of five tests carried out with the purpose of selecting insecticides for its control. It was observed that the insecticides deltamethrine, cypermethrine, permethrine, endosulfan, monocrotophos, clorpyrifos etyl and carbaryl effectively control S. decora. The insecticides malathion and isoprocarb, even at high dosages, do not control the larvae of S. decora. Dry powder formulations of insecticides were not effective for the control of the larvae.
